Welcome to Vatican Heart Leone – Your home in the heart of Rome
Dear guests, I am Giuseppe and, together with my wife Lucia, we manage our holiday home in Rome. It is a pleasure to have you here! I have prepared this guide to help you enjoy the apartment and the city in total relaxation.
1. How to arrive and check-in
The apartment is located at Via del Lago Terrione 83.
- From Fiumicino Airport: take the “Leonardo Express” train to Termini Station. Departures every 15 minutes, travel time about 30 minutes.
- From Termini Station: take a regional train to San Pietro Station (about 20 minutes).
- By taxi or bus n. 64: get off at San Pietro Station terminal, then walk 5 minutes.
- By metro: take the Red Line, get off at “Ottaviano San Pietro”, then walk 15 minutes.
- By car: free public parking in front of the building or paid garages along Via Gregorio VII.
I will send you a video showing how to access the house.
Self Check-in Procedure:
At the intercom, press “VATICAN HEART LEONE” (Int. 9, Staircase B). The door will open automatically. Go right, first floor.
Next to apartment 9, you will find a BLACK BOX. Enter code 1111 to collect the keys.
Inside the apartment you will find:
• double bed, sofa bed, bunk bed
• SMART TV with Netflix
• fast Wi-Fi (Network: TIM-31890668 / Password: m7MezrdcaXxXEFnNXFmzyxxJ)
• towels, shower gel, cleaning products
• welcome kit (water, coffee, tea, sugar)
• two air conditioners
Hot Water
Electric boiler (50L), enough for 4 showers. Wait ~30 minutes to recharge.
Air Conditioning
Two units for heating/cooling.
3. House Rules
• Avoid slamming doors
• Always close elevator doors
• Use induction cookware only
• Do not pour oil/food in sink
Waste: separate bins on the terrace. Dispose at the square bins at the end of your stay.
Check-out (by 10:00) :
Leave tourist tax (€6/day per guest over 10), keys on table, turn off lights and AC.
4. Nearby Services
Via Gregorio VII: supermarkets, pharmacies, banks, restaurants.
Food delivery: Just Eat, Deliveroo, Glovo.
5. Hop-on Hop-off buses
Main operators: City Sightseeing, Big Bus, Green Line, Roma City Tour.
6. Walking Tour: From Home to the Colosseum
Stops include:
Vatican → Castel Sant’Angelo → Pantheon → Piazza Navona → Campo de’ Fiori → Trevi Fountain → Spanish Steps → Piazza Venezia → Colosseum.
7. Safety Tips
Beware of pickpockets in crowded areas.
Keep valuables safe and use prepaid cards.
